Small Groups
Recurring Bible Studies
Grafted small groups are Bible studies that meet regularly throughout the year in homes around New York City.
They are a place to cultivate a relationship with God and friendships with others. They are also safe spaces for those at all stages of their Christian journeys, for those who are working to reconcile their faith with their sexuality or gender identity, for those who feel alienated from the church, and for those who simply want to be in communion with other faithful LGBTQ Christians. These groups provide sanctuary from the anxieties of life and facilitate the formation of new friendships, replenishing ourselves by Christ’s love and the truth of the Christian faith.
Our small groups are led by lay leaders of Grafted, who work to engage the group in serious, thoughtful discussion of the scriptures. Members come from many denominational backgrounds: evangelical, non-denominational, mainline Protestant, Anglican, Roman Catholic, etc. Groups average 5-15 people. Newcomers are always welcome, and no commitment is required. Some members attend every week, some when their schedule permits, others only a few times a year — you are invited, whatever your level of participation.
On Mondays in August at 7 PM, we will be conducting a weekly virtual Bible study on the Gospel of John. Spots can be reserved through Eventbrite with a cap of 100 attendees per session. Zoom link will be mailed out to participants on the day of each study (August 3, 10, 17, and 24). If you have any questions about this study, feel free to send us an email.

Please note: Grafted small groups are intentional spaces for LGBTQ folks. For others who wish to attend, please be mindful of the intention of the event. Feel free to reach out to us if you have any questions about the groups.
