About Grafted
Grafted is a non-profit organization that creates opportunities for LGBTQ Christians to connect, build community and explore faith and identity.
We envision a unified and diverse Body of Christ, inclusive of all.
Statement of Faith
There is one God in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
God created the universe, and is revealed in the Bible as the eternal I AM.
Jesus Christ is God incarnate, the sinless Son of God, the one savior of mankind, who is both fully God and fully man. He was crucified for our sins, died, and rose again on the third day. He will come again in glory to judge the living and the dead.
Christ’s atoning death on the cross, and his bodily resurrection and ascension are the only means given for our salvation and reconciliation with God.
The Bible is Holy Scripture, divinely inspired and authoritative, not merely a human work.
We depend upon the leading of the Holy Spirit to discern God’s will.
Communal worship, prayer, obedience, Bible study, love, fellowship, forgiveness and service are all important aspects in the life of a believer, having been saved by God’s unmerited grace and not by our own human efforts.
All people who are called into relationship with God are full participants in His kingdom, and the ways of holiness and the ways of sinfulness are equally available to all.
The Body of Christ exists to worship the triune God and to lift up the savior Jesus Christ before all people through the faithful proclamation of the Gospel. Love and respect is owed to each member of this community as brothers and sisters in Christ. We are united by the redemptive work of Christ, while acknowledging that we may have differences in personal convictions that will encompass questions involving sex, intimate relationships and marriage.
We look forward to our bodily resurrection with Christ on the final day.
(Grafted affirms the Nicene, Athanasian, and Apostles' Creeds.)
